I noticed that the email was sent at 5:55! That was one of the angel numbers I had been seeing a LOT a couple of months ago! Appreciate you sharing your routine. I feel that the words come from Source/Spirit too and have heard other creators talk of this as well. We are the vessels!
I needed this! I have one chapter left in my book… I’m anxiously awaiting my Mystic Storyteller book & deck. I’ve kind of used its arrival as my timeline to finish my story. I know the ending and I see now Spirits hand in the whole endeavor in one particularly crazy way; I felt prompted to just nonchalantly add a character that heard animals thoughts, before I even knew that animal communication was a learnable skill. I’ve since learned it myself and practice (key word still a beginner, but I’ve had more hits than misses 😜🤞🏻).
The thing I’m hoping to learn next is editing a first draft. I find as I’m rereading and seeing things to change- I think I must have left out- I get a few pages further and find I had in fact included them.
I found I had reread so so much during the original writings, which were often months apart, that I was both bored at already knowing what had happened and forgetting the details.
I’ve been on a long break this time. I had you pull cards on instagram live for backers about my break and they said it was okay, but I might have taken a mile instead of an inch. 😝
I would love a post about how to learn skills/ steps/ routines to rewrite and edit. That literally has been what has put a stick in my spokes, and the ways I’ve not found anyone teaching it on my own. It doesn’t help that I’ve been a pantser for this book.
TRACYE!!! Just last week, I added the psychokinetic ability of animal telepathy to one of my characters!!! A friend of mine recommended I listen to a podcast called THE TELEPATHY TAPES, and it BLEW MY MIND. One of the interviewees is able to communicate with animals. Learning about psi phenomena shared throughout the podcast episodes was SO incredibly inspiring to the magick system I'm writing, which is one rooted in the balance of science and spirit (which is reality, right?). Anyway, you say Spirit led you to do the same, and I wholeheartedly believe there's a reason: we are meant to tell this specific aspect of our stories. Please consider listening to that podcast! It's fascinating. As for your writing progress, turn those periods into semicolons and KEEP GOING!
I took my original class from The Sage Method but have read multiple books by other teachers and practice on their practice FB pages. I really enjoy listening to Dr. Cara Gubins on YouTube (and her book). She believes it’s a skill anyone can learn and would like to have animal communicators in all vet offices and shelters to help animals be understood/ find the right homes.
I’m right now feeling like a failure getting one of my cats to go back to using the litter box. The vet said it was behavioral 😳🫣 Good thing he doesn’t know I think I’m an animal communicator.
In my defense, they say doing it for your own animals is like us with our own human kids. We think we know them better than they know themselves 😝
Right!!!! I had success with my son’s cat who was mean to his precious other cat, and a wild raccoon that was around his house. But MY cat? No… “Talk to the paw, Mother” 🐾
My alarm goes off at 0440 - although I’m typically awake before then.
On Monday mornings I draw two tarot cards (the first a theme for the week, the second a daily card). I track all cards in a planner with stickers and small thoughts about what I think the day will bring - based on the daily card. I also write the daily card in another planner - which I return to at night when it’s time to reflect on the day.
Then it’s downstairs to get my morning routine in. Skin care, oil pulling, getting my husband’s breakfast going, 5 minutes outside as dawn breaks - rain or shine.
By 7am I’m at my desk ready to join some author friends on zoom. Sometimes I work on my manuscript, sometimes I work on character art, sometimes I work on novel-adjacent stuff.
I write in and off throughout the day, inbetween chores and errands and family stuff. But that first hour between 7am and 8am is sacrosanct, and sets the tone for the day 📝

Thank you for being so inspiring to writers!

I am planning on finishing the book being my summer project- as soon as school is out (my day job). 🤞🏻
I’m getting kind of excited. Which is a pleasant surprise. I’ve been heavily avoidant the past year. 😝
Oooh I’ll check it out! Thank you!

Too funny!!! 😂 Your cat is probably rolling their eyes at the idea that you would attempt to read their mind. 😜

That time is SACRED!
